不同意見
多謝各位鼓勵，但最近也聽到不同意見者，我把他們名字以英文字母代替，因我只想針對不同意見來討論，可以不同意，但凡事如可從正反兩面來個愈辯愈明，其實也不錯。

昨日和一位甫自加拿返台的師兄聊及您的那本新書
並將網路上相關您的一點資料和他分享
昨晚他回了我封信(如下)

那位女記者精神可佳。有機會也很樂意和她談談。只是，為什麼那麼多有悲天憫人情懷的，都成了批判西方的左派？我認為那是有問題的。
她批評歐洲，批評美國，批評以色列，為什麼不批評赤柬？不批評 塔利班？富和強，尤其是民主制度下的富和強，都不是原罪sin 。照她的邏輯，處於慈善界相當於「西方富國」地位的慈濟，也是該被批評批判的！她該去同情那些被慈濟「佔用了太多社會資源」，因而被排擠、被邊緣化的其他可憐的慈善團體，對不對？你能接受這樣的邏輯嗎？
巴勒斯坦、阿富汗、非洲……，是可憐，可是，「可憐之人必有可恨之處」（先天或後天殘障的不算）。
我在溫哥華的電台作評論，第一次對中東問題闡述這個觀念，認為巴勒斯坦方才是問題所在時，是嚇了某些人一跳。
「我要揭開那被美國妖魔化的伊斯蘭世界的面紗」和「一名對塔利班和北方聯盟深深恐懼的阿富汗婦女在頭巾的遮掩下對她說﹕「你們記者已經來遲了，我們被遺棄太久了﹗」」不矛盾嗎？
好了，明天再說。

謝謝！也謝謝你師兄意見。其實我也有批評赤柬和塔利班，只不過他沒有留意。為甚麼？這叫做selective perception.
K的觀點我不奇怪，我有不少北美洲朋友，特別是華人，都分享同一看法，因為我們在安逸中很難想像在戰爭與被佔領下的生活如何，一般人亦不會花時間去美國國會圖書館或大英博物館圖書館翻閱解封檔案，以了解詭秘國際政治的隱藏議程，這是記者的責任，評論員也有責任先做功課才作評論，不是順口一句指某方之錯便算了。
如果大眾在傳媒上獲取了錯誤的訊息而形成了偏差的見解，這實在是傳媒的失職，這更鞭韃我多跑、多看、多想、多寫。
無論如何，我感謝K的意見，有機會望多交流。

Syriana（諜對諜）正在台灣上演，電影拍得有氣無力，但比起大批把戰爭當動作背景的好萊塢電影，已經誠懇得多。看到一位網友寫道：「我不知道這部片子想傳達什麼？美國針對石油的陰謀？中東人被資本主義欺壓而憤起？得了吧，這種東西早被演到爛了，而且也人盡皆知。如果導演以為這就叫踢爆內幕，那他可真是跟不上時代，搞不好蘋果日報上的東西都比這部電影精彩。」
這種論調與K的簡直不謀而合。現實被當成批評的議題，而不是真正的痛苦看待。認為可憐的人都活該，等於縱容這個世界繼續「強凌弱、眾暴寡」。那就祝他永遠站在「強」與「眾」的那一邊（還真有人這麼想的！）

我其實是想過要譯一本阿拉伯詩選
不是幾十人那種
選巴勒斯坦Darwish、伊拉克Saadi Youssef、庫德斯坦Choman Hardi（他們的詩我都超喜歡）、或者再加上敘利亞Adonis（我怕譯不好他）
三、四人，每人二、三十首
只是台灣出版社對譯詩興趣缺缺...

放下手邊正在看的書，開始看《中東現場》。
一口氣從埃及的兄弟會看到妳在以巴地區的觀察，其實那位K真的沒有好好看妳的文字，因為妳並沒有一面倒地妖魔化一方與支持另一方。
有趣的是，妳只是在批判伊斯蘭激進主義的同時，試圖理出被主流媒體忽略的伊斯蘭面貌與歷史糾葛，結果就成了K眼中的問題。
很欣賞妳自序說的
「有記者以為各打五十板就叫做客觀，但我終於明白，應該要打八十板的，就打八十板，四十板的，就四十板。」

Takato Nahoko's as a hostage in Iraq - a big shot - still agree with her, support her & love her. Yes. She just keep going - even on her own has really inspired, enlightened mnay people. Wish her all the best & it is great that you guys have offered platforms/forums, most of all opportunities for us to know more, to think more & to response.

oh, these few days have been too busy running around with nahoko. i am really touched by all your support as i could witness the unexpectedly high turnout of the forum in the arts centre yesterday ( 11th feb ). once again, many thanks......

By the way your new book is so far so good that cannot stop reading - more than this - have to repeat reading the old books also - your books have been recommended to my colleagues & freinds. It is not only the facts they want to know and also to care of people around in the world everywhere.

Still I almost cannot read local news (newspapers) anymore - other than the wordings - almost 98% got their grounds/views - and I am also disappointed by most of the journalists / radio / TV programs - always (though not 100%) - the questions are nonsense - bring no points, inspire nothing. How can we guide the next generation under such culture? I don't know. Also unfortunately, some of the famous guys, once they have a position - they almost change eventually into nonsense style. It seems no way out unless we try our best to keep ourselves with a clear mind and go on with HEARTS.
Not intend to offend anyone but perosnal feeling only.

The Christmas card I sent you was returned with the words 'person has moved' so I emailed Linda in Paris to ask if she knew your whereabouts. She gave me the link to your blog which I shall try to read regularly to keep in touch with what you're doing.
Well done for finishing your book. Dare I ask about the documentary you were filming when I saw you last June?

剛剛在編電子報的延伸閱讀，剛好看到你問了翻譯M. Darwish的留言，我知道李敏勇老師有翻譯好幾首了，都發表在《笠詩刊》，也許可以跟他聯絡。如果需要幫忙，可以寫信跟我說。
