Dear readers,

Among your questions and comments, I have the following clarification:

1. the Israeli Consulate did not literately request the Hong Kong Economic Times to stop me from writing anything ridiculing them. I think the inmedia has misunderstood the incident. Before? yes. But not Hong Kong Economic Times. It is Hong Kong Economic Journel. They suggested the HKEJ not to give me their prestigeous platform for my future articles. Since I still write for both the newspapers, it is obvious that my freedom of expression has bee respected. I feel grateful to the chief editors of HKEJ and HKET, and I enjoy writing for them.

2. I cannot say the Israeli Consulate pressures the editors. In fact, they never request the chief editors of both newspapers to take any action, nor even ask for any clarification statement. Well, we have to know that it is their common practice. Western journalists reporting on the Middle East have received tons of their protest letters, including CNN which in our opinion is sympathetic to Israel. Yet Israel is still not happy.

3. Anti-Isreal? In what way? i also critize China and Hong Kong . Am I anti-China or anti-Hong Kong?¨How convenient it is to give someone this label which by itself is a tool to create sterotyping and conceal the truth.
Please do not fall into this trap of sweeping generalisation.

4 As for the violent robbery I enocuntered, don´t worry. i still have the passport and some money with me. I left it in the hotel. But I have to buy a new camera and some other things. The police here in Nicaragua are unhelpful. They only gave me a very simple police report with which i am not sure if i can claim the insurance. Also because of the language barrier ( Nicaraguans speak diffferent accent of spanish ), it was extremely difficult for me to let them understand what I had lost in the robbery. Anyway, I have to put the robbery nightmare aside and get on with my work here in Nicaragua.
